Affiliate Marketing Definition for Internet Marketers
"Learn the Affiliate Marketing Definition and Which Affiliate Marketing Training Courses to Take to Rule Your Competition Online!!"
If you're new to making money online, you may be looking for an affiliate marketing definition.
You want to know what affiliate program marketing is, what you need to do to make money online, and how to stand out in a pond full of fish (your competition).
The premise of making money online is easier than you think, as are the steps to getting started.
However, it's important to note that you're not going to be a millionaire overnight.
Although, you might become a 12 Month Internet Millionaire. Would that be "overnight" enough? (Haha).
Anyway, let's start learning how to make money online.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
The simple definition of affiliate program marketing is the online promotion of products and/or services developed by another person or persons for a monetary commission.
There are tons of products to promote online, and in every imagineable niche.
Whether your passion is health and fitness, copywriting, recreational sports, even elementary education...you can find a niche affiliate marketing program very easily.
The easiest place to find digital products to promote is ClickBank. Their "marketplace" is the first spot you'll want to search if you haven't yet created a product of your own.
Internet Marketing Affiliate Program Tips...
You can make money online without a website or a blog. If you're brand new to this, then that's probably how you'll get started initially.
To help you on your path to success, I thought I'd include 4 internet marketing affiliate program tips/steps that you can use immediately.
Step #1 - It is an absolute must that you register with ClickBank. You won't find as complete a list of instantly marketable products anywhere else.
Step #2 - Send an email to people on your existing contact list about the new product that you've found and why it may be beneficial to them to take a look. It's absolutely critical that you DO NOT spam anyone. It defeats the purpose, is one of the most annoying things in the world, and can get you banned.
Step #3 - Don't promote every single thing you see. Take some time to research the product, the creator, and the marketing tools. You'll have very little response from your list of friends/contacts if you send them too many options.
Step #4 - Pick something you're somewhat knowledgeable about. My B.S. degree is in Physical Education / Exercise Science, so I'm very comfortable in assessing the features and benefits of fitness programs and understanding if they'll deliver the results that are promised. Look for the products that do the same for you.
Bonus Internet Marketing Affiliate Program Tips...
For those of you with a little more experience and/or for those of you with a a website or a blog, I'm including a few bonus internet marketing affiliate program tips.
These can make your presentation a bit more professional and will allow for improved follow-up and response time from your visitors or subscribers.
1) Get an Email Autoresponder - Autoresponders allow you to work on email list building for each of the various products that you might promote. Services like GetResponse and AWeber allow you to setup multiple email lists, create opt-in forms, and stay in touch with your subscribers easily.
2) Start a Blog - Creating a blog will provide you with a dedicated spot of your own online. You'll attract a following, build, your autoresponder list, and will be able to position yourself more effectively as an expert. Take a look at our article How to Start a Blog to learn more on how to setup a blog for yourself.
3) Get a Website - If a blog is like a newspaper (gets thrown out after reading), a website is more like an encyclopedia (something you reference often). It certainly won't hurt your cause to use both, as long as you put a bit of time and effort into creating enough content as you're getting started. The SiteBuildIt! websites that I own and manage consistently draw a minimum of 300% more traffic than my blogs do.
4) Continue Your Education - It's funny (not funny haha...funny interesting) that I didn't make this the 1st Bonus tip since it's the one that's most important and since the first bonus is the one that people will click on most. Anyway, spending time learning from other internet marketers is something that you should do every single day if you want to eventually make a full-time income online. If it's something you're serious about then you should join Russell Brunson's 2nd Tier Affiliate Program. It's the most comprehensive affiliate tool system I've seen yet. Go there!
Go Get 'Em...
Hopefully now, you've got a better idea of the affiliate marketing definition and what steps you'll need to take to start making money online as a promoter of other peoples products.
Committed to your success,

P.S. - I almost forgot about this one -- Dot Com Secrets Free DVD -- I've only shared it with private clients up until now, but I'd highly recommend picking up the free cd.
