If you're not "a computer guru", it's definitely the path of fewest headaches and lowest maintenance.

This is especially true if you're using Wordpress.com - a free blog software.

These free blog sites allow you to create your own space online without having to worry about external hosting or use of FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

It's basically just a write and post option -- after choosing your look and feel from a series of blog templates.

A slightly more advanced way to start a blog is through use of Wordpress.org.

You'll enjoy greater freedom in your choice of blog template and design, but will have to secure your own website hosting.

Even with so-called "Search Engine Optimization" plug-ins, only 1 out of every 2,000 blogs show the ability to create a full-time income for their owners.

This has to do with a combination of the following:

Site Structure: Organization of your keyword phrases in logical groupings.

Content, Traffic, PreSelling, and Monetizing: Using the SBI C*T*P*M method to provide content, increase website traffic, presell your visitors and finally monetize your idea and website.

Link Building: Proper use of link building tools to further your link popularity and increase website traffic.
