Hi! I'm Your Tour Guide -- David Bohmiller
Hi, I'm David Bohmiller and I'm a happy SBI website owner.
Actually, I own several Site Build It sites, but it hasn't always been that way.
It's been a long and interesting trip and I'm happy to share it with you.
Here's a bit about me (in case you were wondering).
I'm a child of the 70's and celebrated my 30th birthday this year. It's kinda strange to say that, but I like my age. I don't think I'd want to be any younger except for having fewer aches and pains. Haha.
I grew up in Framingham, MA (The HAM) about half an hour outside of Boston, home to the my favorite sports teams -- the Celtics, Patriots, Bruins, and of course the Red Sox.
After graduating from Framingham High School in 1996, I spent a few years (and my parents money -- oops) taking business courses at UMass Dartmouth. Luckily for them I figured out that the business route wasn't for me at the time, and I transferred schools.
I ended up at Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, MA as a student in their Physical Education degree program. I never knew before that that there were so many options for health professional careers, everything from cardiac rehabilitation to medical device sales, personal training to teaching, athletic training to health and fitness research. I was amazed and I was happy.
After graduation with a BS in Physical Education and a concentration in Exercise Science, I started working as an Exercise Physiologist performing cardiac stress tests and instructing group cardiac rehabilitation classes. It was a lot of fun, very rewarding, and actually more fast-paced than I thought it would be.
After a month or two, I had a great opportunity to join a large health club chain in the Northeast as a Personal Trainer. Within my first year, I had become a successful Personal Trainer and was promoted to Fitness Director at the location closest to Fenway Park.
Eventually, I was asked to join the faculty team responsible for teaching all of the new fitness hires in Boston. Ive been able to lead thousands of aspiring Personal Trainers in a classroom setting. (Looks like Im over my fear of public speaking).
Fast forward a little bit to my move to SoCal. Im now the owner of My Personal Trainer School and WebWorksToday.com
I spend my days involved in one-on-one private training, instructing group exercise classes, writing for a series of fitness websites, and mentoring clients in web design success.
Im passionate about everything that I do and I hope that it shows.
It was before I left Boston that I discovered SiteBuildIt and experimented with building my own website.
My first site, even with SBI, was a flop at least in my eyes. But, I dont regret having tried it.
I think thats obvious since I now own several.
I was also very fortunate to have sort of a partner in crime, Dr. Charles Inniss. Hes a bit of an abdominal exercise master, a physical therapist, and a personal trainer.
We've been able to motivate each other in building successful websites.
Quick Tip: If youre serious about building a website with SBI, you'll want to have a friend or family member along for the ride. There are always ups and downs, so it's nice to have someone you can share the experience with and feed off of.
My Goals for the Future?
As fitness is my passion, I'll continue to spend time coaching my private personal training clients and boot camp attendees.
WebWorksToday.com is my little, daily escape from fitness. It's so exciting to have stumbled upon something (2 things actually -- fitness and website building) that can change so many people's lives.
It'll be my goal to introduce you to the joys and successes that building a website has to offer, while still giving you an honest take on the difficulties involved and what will really help you increase your website traffic so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy all that life has to offer!
