Learn How to Start a Blog

"Learn How to Start a Blog and If It Is Really In Your Best Interest"

You're here to learn how to start a blog, right?

It's actually fairly simple.

There are some great resources available that make it incredibly easy to get started.

You'll be able to pick and choose an existing look for your background, add your header or title, and start writing almost immediately.

The process has become so simple that you'll probably have your first post up within the first 10 minutes if not faster.

My 2 Favorite Options...

The two most popular and easy-to-use blogging programs are WordPress.com and Blogger.com.

Both are simple to use and offer complimentary tutorials to get you started on the right path.

Although I'm a firm believer in creating websites for monetization, there are sure-fire ways to make money using a blog.

The Website vs. The Blog An Ongoing Debate...

I don't want you to think that a blog is a bad thing. It's not.

Blogs are actually very important as part of a reputable linking system for your traditional website.

So, why would I start a website (especially with SiteBuildIt!) rather than a blog?

Here are my top 3 reaons:

1) All Your Information Remains Current

How many times have you read the first one or two posts on a blog and then forgotten about it?

Many blogs are only as good as their last 2 or 3 posts.

With a well-organized website that is found easily through organic searches, all of your information is readily available and easily accessible for your readers.

2) Better Site Organization

Having a dedicated Tier system helps to create "mini-sites" within your site.

Your keyword phrasing within each of these tiers plays a major role in determing your sites overall traffic.

You usually spend more time on the sites that are easy to navigate, right?

3) I Enjoy My Free Time

Effective blogging basically necessitates that you'll have to write every single day.

Otherwise, your readers may quickly forget about you.

With my current sites, I tend to write a lot (It's the basis for the C*T*P*M site success process), yet I'm still able to take a 2-week vacation whenever I want to.

Most of the time, I enjoy increased website traffic during my vacations without having to do any extra work. That's a bonus!

A Message from Ken

Ken Evoy, the President of SiteBuildIt! wrote a great post on whether to blog or build a website. It really provides some critical insight on how to use each effectively for your overall online success.
