The Make Your Own Website e-Course Part 4

"Creating Consistent Content"

david bohmiller

Welcome to Make Your Own Website e-Course Part 4.

The internet has quickly taken over as the fastest place to get information -- anywhere.

Because of it's popularity, there's also a lot of competition, which isn't an awful thing.

Competition is good because it means that you can be at the top!

So, how do you get a leg up on your competitors?

Be sure to provide the most informative, most relevant information to the topic that your readers or your audience is looking for.

Let's Use Key West as An Example

Let's say you're planning a trip to Key West, FL for a week long vacation.

What kinds of things to you need to know about before you get there? What do you need to plan?

Well, aside from the flight itself, you're going to need to book a hotel.

Wouldn't it be nice to have some info on the hotels in the area? Maybe a few reader reviews?

What about the best bars and restaraunts? Everyone needs to eat, right? And, a frosty adult beverage while enjoying the Florida sun doesn't sound like a bad thing.

Maybe a little information about some of the touristy things to do there or shops to visit? What are the best places to pick up souvenirs?

There's so much you could write about or even have your readers contribute (that way you don't have to do all the writing!).

Your content and the personality you bring to the table with it are going to set you apart from your competition.

Keep GROWING

I've seen some people create a site with only 10 pages and they wonder why they aren't getting enough traffic to sustain a viable income off the site.

Create specific goals for the number of articles you want to complete by a certain date.

Use your keyword phrase list to come up with article topics that you may not have thought of right off the bat.

Survery your readers to see if there is something you aren't writing about that is on their minds.

Even if you're not writing, start talking -- outloud.

Hearing yourself say some of the things you want to write about can get the creative juices flowing.

Bottom line - write something every single day.

Committed to your success,
Boh
