Just starting out

How long does it take to build a website? I know it's an on going process, but initially, what's the time frame?

Starting a Website

Hi Heather :)

Thanks for your website building question. As with a lot of things, the answer is "it depends".

If you're thinking of creating a blog, your first post could be written and "live" within minutes.

A well researched and organized website, especially one that helps you to make money online, should require some effort and some time.

I've used SiteBuildIt! for my most successful websites and have found that making a website gets easier (and faster) each time.

Since fitness is a big passion of mine, it's always been easiest for me to start there.

A content-rich website in a fitness-related niche with about 40 article pages normally takes a week.

The biggest website building mistake that I see people make is not dedicating time to creating (or even outsourcing) that content. I've even seen people with some great ideas end up with only 4 pages of content after an entire year!

Sorry for the long-winded answer...I'm sure I could go on and on, but hopefully that gives you a glimpse into the what it's like to create a website.

Thanks again for your website building question!
