More Website Traffic -- at Your Fingertips!
"Learn How to Get More Website Traffic with High Quality Content"
Here's a never fail tip on how to get more website traffic -- and it's free.
Create more web site content.
How many pages are on your website right now?
If it's like that "online business card" that you may have heard me mention before, you may be dealing with 10 pages or fewer.
Think about the most popular websites, the ones you return to; are they packed with high quality information relevant to what you were searching for? How many pages do they have?
Now, think about your site again. Does it provide useful information to the audience that you are trying to attract?
What message does your home page send?
Is it just your contact information and a sales page? What other information could you provide your visitors to make them want to return?
One thing that I think about are the features, advantages, and benefits of the products or services that I offer in my businesses.
Does that message come across in your site, or is that message lost in graphics and flash players? Or, is that message there at all? Does your website reveal the same information that you would give to a prospective client you were meeting in person for the first time?
If it doesn't, it should.
You Are The Expert...
No one knows more about what it is that you do than you do!
Whether you are a tradesperson (plumber, electrician, roofer), a service seller (massage therapist, personal trainer, etc), or even a work at home Mom, you have unlimited information about your profession. (If we don't, I'm not sure why so many of us work 40+ hours each week).
Can you take that information and make it of benefit for your readers as article content on your website?
If you wrote an article each day, your site would be 30 pages bigger in just one month.
And, 180 pages bigger in just 6 months.
Not only would your site be easier to find in the search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask) but your visitors would probably return more often to see what new information you had for them.
Guess what else? It's free except for the little bit of time that it costs you to sit down and write an article.
Just an Hour Each Day...
My suggestion is to take less than one hour each day (especially if you've got a full-time job on top of your site building) to work on writing.
Grab your computer, grab a chair, set a timer, and get to writing.
Also, don't worry about editing anything until after you've written for an hour -- that's one way I avoid writer's block!
If for any reason you are having trouble with your writing skills or style, grab a complimentary subscription to our Website Marketing Weekly email newsletter.
With it you'll get 14 Bonus items including "Make Your Words Sell" and "Netwriting Skills" both of which should help you in creating great content.
